Dear Titan Community,
Welcome back to campus for spring 2025!
As we begin another semester, I want to warmly welcome you back to campus. Whether you are a continuing student, returning faculty or staff member, or joining our university for the first time, welcome. Returning to campus provides each of us with new opportunities to learn, grow, and make meaningful connections.
During the break, many members of our campus community have been working hard in anticipation of your return. However, while we were away, Southern California experienced unfortunate significant Santa Ana winds and wildfires, which have caused extreme devastation to families, homes, schools, businesses, and more. As some of you are aware, these devastating circumstances have directly impacted several members of our Titan family. This past week, I, along with members of our team, made Titan wellness calls to those impacted. We recognize this is an extremely difficult time for many.
On behalf of our entire university, I want to express sincere condolences and sympathy to those affected by the loss of community. As a campus, let’s continue to provide support for those in need whenever and wherever possible.
Cal State Fullerton is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. If you or someone you know has been affected by the tragic outcomes of these recent fires, please reach out for support. Visit the State of California website for resources from local, state, and federal governmental agencies. CSUF also provides assistance through the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and TitanWELL for students and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for faculty and staff.
The road to rebuilding normalcy will take time, patience, and ongoing support from family, friends, and sometimes complete strangers. I want to thank you in advance for sharing your grace and kindness.
As we make final preparations for the new semester, we should expect potential federal policy changes and new laws, which may create uncertainty for many in our community — students, faculty, staff, and their families. As Titans, we thrive when everyone feels supported, and the university remains steadfast in that commitment. To address your concerns, we’ve launched a comprehensive website with guidance, resources, and support services. Please take advantage of these offerings to support your academic, professional, and personal well-being.
I look forward to seeing you on campus and witnessing the remarkable achievements we will accomplish together.
Go Titans,
