Dear Titan Community,
It is my pleasure to announce the exciting news that Chris Manriquez has been appointed vice president for information technology, effective August 1, 2025.
Chris brings over 25 years of experience in higher education technology leadership, driving initiatives and units across academic technology from information security, infrastructure and development, operations and finance, to project management.
In his current role as vice president/chief information officer at Cal State Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), Chris has successfully spearheaded numerous campus-wide technology initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and delivering cost-effective, transformative solutions tailored to the needs of a modern campus community.
Prior to CSUDH, Chris served Cal State Fullerton as acting chief information technology officer, overseeing all operations within the Division of Information Technology. He led efforts to advance the California State University system's goals and helped improve IT practices and services across our colleges and units. He is returning to his alma mater as a proud double Titan, and we are excited about his strategic leadership and commitment to serving our campus community.
My deepest appreciation to the search committee for their time and thoughtful engagement in this process. I am also grateful to the campus community members who participated in the open forums – thank you for your honest and valuable feedback.
I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to Provost Amir Dabirian for his leadership during this transitional period. His willingness to take on this vital role has been invaluable to Cal State Fullerton.
Please join me in warmly welcoming Chris Manriquez back to our Titan community. We look forward to his leadership in advancing our technology infrastructure and services.
Sincerely,
Ronald S. Rochon
President
