Dear Titan Community,
I write to you today with an important update regarding our search for Cal State Fullerton’s next provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Unfortunately, the search failed, and we are unable to continue the process as originally planned. While it is disappointing to close this chapter without a selection, it is also an opportunity to pause, reset and recommit to finding our next provost and vice president for academic affairs.
In the meantime, Dr. Amir Dabirian has graciously agreed to extend his service as our interim leader during this transition period. I plan to resume our search this fall, upon the return of faculty, staff and students.
I want to thank the members of the search committee for their time, effort and dedication. My unending gratitude goes to Alexander Porter, vice president for administration and finance/CFO, search committee chair, for his leadership and commitment throughout this process.
I appreciate the community’s understanding as we navigate the next steps, and I ask for your continued support and shared commitment in the road ahead.
