Dear Titan Community,
We are writing to dispel rumors and social media posts regarding the presence of federal agents on campus yesterday. We strongly urge everyone to verify information through official university sources before acting on social media posts or unconfirmed reports.
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Explosive K9 presence involved one agent and was strictly related to a routine training. It was not connected to any immigration enforcement activity involving the university or its community members.
Our campus remains open. We understand that the presence of federal agents can cause concern. However, there is no cause for alarm and no classes should be canceled at this time. If there is ever a need to modify campus operations, we will inform you immediately through official channels.
If you receive concerning information or see activity that causes concern, contact the Office of Risk Management at 657-278-7475 immediately. This line is available 24 hours. Additional campus resources, including our immigration protocol card, can be found at CSUF Community Resources.
Our campus community will continue to receive appropriate updates and guidance to help manage any potential risk to the community.
Let’s continue to approach these situations with care, calm, and a shared commitment to the well-being of our campus.
