Dear Titans,

Welcome back to campus. Whether you are continuing your studies, returning to your role as faculty or staff, or joining Cal State Fullerton for the very first time, we are so grateful you are here.

I hope the holiday break offered moments to rest, reconnect with loved ones and return with renewed focus. Yesterday we commemorated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a time that invites reflection on service and on how we show up for one another. Dr. King reminded us that community is built through daily choices rooted in empathy, shared responsibility, and a willingness to lift one another, especially during challenging times.

That message is especially relevant as we step into spring. Each of us arrives here with different goals, hopes and challenges. Cal State Fullerton is strongest when we celebrate one another, when we listen with care and when we act with intention. Every classroom discussion, research effort and act of service contributes to the kind of community Dr. King urged us to build, one grounded in dignity and shared purpose.

I encourage you to take part in that work by getting involved beyond your classrooms. With many opportunities to lead and serve across campus, we invite you to connect with others and help make our campus a model institution in the California State University system.

As the months ahead unfold, our shared efforts will carry us toward milestones small and large, including Commencement in May.

Thanks again for being part of our Titan community. I look forward to seeing you on campus and I wish you all an exciting and successful semester.

Sincerely,
Ronald S. Rochon
President
